I have the firmware version 6.2.1.1-18016 as well. However, I am getting the error, "Firmware upgrade aborted because the new firmware is for another hardware platform. Restarting with previous version. (8)" when I try to upgrade. Any suggestions?

I tried to reset in several ways: I tried to release the reset button after one long flash, 1 long and n short flashes where n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Didn't change anything. Once I released the button, it became pingable in 1-2 seconds and went back to the recently described lighting mode.
I do not know if the firmware upgrade had anything to do with it as the problems did not start until about 10 days later. Errors are from seemingly random AP's in the network, but maybe 20-30% have the errors at any point in time.

I have been getting this browser security issue when trying to login to the msm720 controller, the work around is to use an older verson of firefox browser and to login with out security block, so I was going to upgrade the firmware. I was wondering if I can upgrade from 5.7.1.1 to 6.0.x without any issues. To solve the Problem, iI did a firmware upgrade on the controler to version 6.6.9.1-23594. But i can't manually update the APs who don't whant to connect, because they are too old so i can't download the firmware for free anymore. So i can't tell, if the firmware is responsible for the Problem. But all connected APs got their firmware update from the controler and work fine.
